I had a great time talking with Sam Lewis from the ‪Human Condition podcast discussing all things Gen Z; the misconceptions of Gen Z and their potential.

Today’s workforce spans four generations, all with different expectations of culture, behaviours and outcomes. At the forefront for many teams now sits Gen Z whose values and behaviours are challenging what leadership and culture looks like.

As leaders we can all become slightly obsessed about how you ensure you have a happy, productive, high performing team.

Imagine having an almost endless supply of money, a brand that everyone wants to work for and having the ability to headhunt whoever you want from anywhere in the world, problem solved, right?

Many of our challenges are arguably no different, no worse, than those faced by any generation.

Hopefully the sun is shining where you are and all is going well for you.

Over the last two newsletters I have laid out why Gen Z view the world of work differently and the ever changing and mounting pressures on leaders, especially those in middle leadership.

Last month we discussed whether or not Gen Z are different, and what their context is. As I highlighted, as people, they are not different, but their context is. Therefore the way in which they are responding to the workplace is new and having a real impact.
